Nearly seven years ago Bureau was created with one core belief in mind: the best visual communication is simple, intelligent and sincere.
We designed our first website in 2009. Technology was rapidly changing the way people used and accessed the web on devices, which transformed our design thinking. It was and continues to be a thrilling and challenging landscape for design.
Over time, we learned that we enjoyed ourselves most when we were designing for the web, so we sought out as much of that work as possible. As a result, we formed a relationship with Rareview, a digital design agency in Southern California, which allowed us to do more interaction design and work on digital products for the first time. Our interest in UI/UX and product design reignited an excitement we haven’t felt since Bureau’s start. This was new territory for us and we wanted to surround ourselves with people who could help us learn and grow in that realm.
We’ve decided to end Bureau’s story here. On November 1, 2015 we move to Los Angeles, California where Terrie will join Rareview as UI/UX Designer and Frank will join Edenspiekermann as Senior Visual & Interaction Designer at their new office in Santa Monica.
This is a big transition for us. With saying goodbye to Bureau comes saying goodbye to family, friends, and Sudbury. While we’ll miss home, we’re incredibly excited about the future and new challenges ahead.
In our history, we’ve worked on nearly 650 projects. None of them would have been possible without the trust of our clients, the support from our community, and the contributions of everyone who has worked with us at Bureau through the years. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
With total gratitude,
Frank & Terrie
